IMPORTANT NOTE:
Prepare Your Assets: Have all text, images, and media ready before you start.
Back Up Your Site: Save a full website backup so you can easily restore it if needed.
Review the Materials: Watch the tutorial video and check the documentation to familiarize yourself with the process.
Step 1: Enable Maintenance Mode – Install and activate a “Coming Soon” or Maintenance plugin to hide site changes from visitors.
Step 2: Install Required Plugins – Follow the on-screen prompt or refer to theme documentation to install all bundled and required plugins.
Step 3: Install & Activate the Theme – Go to Appearance > Themes to install and activate your new theme.
Step 4: Configure Elementor – Open the Elementor settings to complete the basic setup and preferences.
Step 5: Adjust Existing Page Slugs – Rename the URL slugs of your current pages (e.g., change about to about-old) so they don’t conflict with incoming demo content.
Step 6: Import Sample Content – Run the content importer to load sample pages, posts, and settings.
Step 7: Configure Theme Settings – Adjust theme options, headers, footers, and global styles following your theme documentation.
Step 8: Verify Page Slugs – Confirm that new sample pages correctly use your primary URL slugs and old pages remain archived.
Step 9: Replace Sample Content – Swap out the placeholder text and images with your own media and copy using Elementor.
Step 10: Clean Up & Launch – Deactivate and delete any unused plugins, then turn off the “Coming Soon” page to make your site live.
